I trained him so much but he still have huge trouble against my Ganon. He just constantly get rekt by explosive shield, G&W grab a LOT, but my Ganon also has Improved Escapability, where G&W can very rarely get more than just a pummel. He also faced and learned the matchup for a couple of matches, but still isn't able to win. If Dojo's Super NES can win against around 4 Shulks in a row with their OP counter in a tournament, It should be possible for my Game & Watch to win against my Ganondorf. There has to be a way.
What should I do?

I think he may need more training. My Lucina struggled against the top amiibo, but with constant training she's able to sweep them all, although its quite difficult for her, she still manages to pull off a win even when she's drastically losing.

It could just be his stat build. G&W is one of the most lightest characters in the game, and since Ganon hits HARD, that might just be his problem.

I trained him for 3 days. I did at least or more than 20 training matches. 20 isn't too much- in order to become true champs, they have to have 1,000+ matches of experience. unless you're talking about ganon, in which thats natural, because hes already good by default. But as minerva said, Mr. Game And Watch is a bad matchup against Ganon because hes extremely light. Try giving him higher defense and shield abilities. Anything is possible, yes, but some things are extremely rare. In this case, its extremely rare. Try to focus on his weaknesses during matches. Not blocking enough? Do timer perfect shields then smash attack. Blocking too much with shield broken? Teach them to dodge more. Spamming a move? Block the attack, then counter with a different move. It may take long, sure.. but eventually, you'll find the key to success with your MGAW amiibo.

This right here is a toughie. I mean, Ganon cripples opponents with his power, not to mention light characters like Game + Watch. I'd recommend to give him quite the defense to start with, then teach him to be good at dodging, not a whole lot of shielding. G+W has some quick enough attacks to overwhelm Ganon.

I trained my Mr Game & Watch amiibo and it beat my Ganondorf. In fact, it's my third best amiibo. What you want to do is teach it to use the frying pan at a distance a lot. That can help. I know you've probably already done this lots of times, but you should really teach Mr Game & Watch defence and dodging too.

Okay, so I've done a lot of analysis on Mr. Game & Watch lately and will continue to do more on him. I see that yours has +60 defense at the moment, but that's not enough. If you've noticed, G&W can contend against characters like Ness and Rosalina (who, while strong, are not on the level of Bowser + Ganon) but is pretty much ripped to shreds against Ganon and Bowser. He needs a lot of defense. So, I've come up with a list of things you could do do help improve your Mr. Game & Watch's matchup against Ganondorf. #1: More defense boosts. Sometimes, being able to block and dodge with impunity isn't enough to secure a win. This is one of those times. You need to give Mr. Game & Watch a large defense point boost. You currently have +60 Attack | +60 Defense | 0 Speed. This setup works fine on middleweight characters like Mario, but it's simply not enough to give G&W the survivability he needs. I've come up with a setup for you that you can use instead:
- +20 Attack | +90 Defense | +10 Speed
- Critical-hit capability
- Improved trade-off defense
- Lifesteal
This is the setup I recommend most for you. You might be unhappy with the 40 point reduction in attack, but you have to keep in mind that G&W's attacks are already strong, and are further bolstered by Critical-hit capability. Improved trade-off defense is the new bonus here - in exchange for starting with 30% each stock, his defense will be increased by another 20% (which will essentially make his defense +110 instead of +90). We've also got a small speed boost to increase his reaction time and overall mobility.
#2: Continued Timer Matches. Though fairly obvious, you should continue to do timer matches. I recommend giving your custom set THREE Easy perfect shield bonuses - since G&W moves so erratically, you can't tell which attack he's about to use unless it makes a distinct beep noise (like his forward smash - the second beep of that is your cue to block).
#3: The Amiibo 15. Now despite the fact that the timer matches are, in essence, altered Amiibo 15's, the original guide focuses on both blocking and dodging. In addition to timer matches, be sure to do Amiibo 15's as well.
Hope this can help you out. Mr. Game & Watch is a tough one to train, but you have to stay determined!
