Does anyone else here find it very frustrating to train R.O.B.? When I fight him he doesn't really do what I taught him to do. Even when I put tons of hours into teaching him to not jump at all, he still jumps. It infuriates me.
Granted, he still wins against a good chunk of my amiibo, but still...

Join the club bro, like really.
R.O.B. is just one of those amiibo where you just have to roll with, like Meta Knight lol
I don't think there's anyway to fix R.O.B.- he's programmed to fight up close no matter what. Personally, I don't mind that he does this, but it definitely leaves a bit of a bitter taste in mouth at the end of the day. Especially since he doesn't use Gyro at all.

Yup. And I had such high hopes for R.O.B. too. He's one of my favorite characters and has one of my favorite amiibo designs. It's quite a shame, really... I gave him one of the very few Critical hits I had on me.
Oh well, off to the coin army to you, Bumblebee.

Despite never going in air, he still goes for down throw into up air, which at low percents fails.

Despite never going in air, he still goes for down throw into up air, which at low percents fails. Its especially hilarious how amiibo, or AI in general for the matter, don't detect when the combo doesn't hit. So when they get somebody into a grab combo and they aren't launched far, they still throw themselves into the air and attack nothing.
