I've heard Dojo say this quite a lot, but in what way do an amiibo's negative speed affect their reaction time? It really change the amount of frames before they react to something? Is that why putting 10 speed points is recommended?

I heard this from Amiibo Trainer first, actually. I thought it was sort of ridiculous, so to put it to the test, I trained up 2 amiibo. One was Mewtwo, and I gave him -200 points speed. The other one was Pac-Man, who had 10 points in speed. I raised them both to Level 50 with the same training method, and then used Timer Amiibo 15's to get them to block more. Then, I had Pac-Man and Mewtwo fight each other in a best 3 out of 5. Pac-Man won 3 matches in a row, because he was able to block more consistently than Mewtwo. Neither amiibo had any shield bonuses at the time.
That test makes me believe that amiibo with negative speed have lesser reaction time. Now, don't go giving your amiibo +200 speed. It'll be so fast it won't know what to do. IMO, the most speed an amiibo should have is 40-50 points. Hope I cleared that up for you.

You sure Dojo? I just gave my Robin (Red Robin) the Tank Setup (200/120/-200), and her reaction time is just fine. She's doing well.

I think they may have more landing lag on aerials, if that's what OP is asking

Idk about that, my Lucario has -200 speed and seems fine in terms of general reaction time, though I suppose that could be tested
