Hello again. (I know I've been inactive in the forums since my "Amiibo Theory: Adaptation" thread, but I have not stopped my ongoing quest to break the Amiibo code.) I have a new theory for everyone. I will be adding to it as the results come in.
Theory
How much influence do the conditions of an Amiibo's matches have on it? I have taken on an experiment to help find out. I will try to find what conditions are best to teach your Amiibo defense. If I can find it, I will hopefully be able help everyone teach poorly "AIed" Amiibo to improve their defensive mindset. (Can AI really be a verb? But that's a theory for another time.)
Experiment
I will be pitting two Fox Amiibo (Notorious for his awful tendency to rely too heavily on aerials. (At least in my experience.)) against each other in two 99-minute matches under similar circumstances to give a base to these Amiibo. Afterwards, I will face them off in a 5-minute match and shall record the results. After that, I will reset these Amiibo and run them through two more 99-minute matches under DIFFERENT circumstances, do a 5-minute match, and record those results as well. If there is a significant difference in these results, it will tell us two things. 1) Amiibo ARE influenced by there training environments. (Though I am 99.999% sure they are. However, I am really interested in...) 2) What conditions are best for training defense.
My Amiibo are named Foxio and Wolf. They will each have the explosive perfect shield, improved escapability, and critical hit.
Match Style 1
Omega Stage
2x 99-min Coin Battle (I have done coin because my future ideas for this experiment will require not dying. The coins will still allow an Amiibo to win.)
Post-Match 5-minute smash
Note: All 5-minute matches will be on Omega with no items.
Results
Category Foxio Wolf Average
Damage % Given 1218 534 876
Ground Time 227 133 180
Air Time 70 160 115
Hit % 33 13 23
Ground Attacks 112 53 82.5
Air Attacks 29 150 89.5
Smash Attacks 52 18 35
Grabs 12 12 12
Throws 0 0 0
Projectiles 31 30 30.5
Uses of EPS Total of 32 times between the two.
(Note: I'm sorry I did not distinguish which how many uses each. I will rectify that next time. However, I do not believe it will affect the results substantially.)
End Experiment (For now.)
My next experiment will be testing Glenn's (Amiibo Trainer) theory on curry.
I will post sometime later with the results...
