So, i'm pretty surprised to see that Roy and Mewtwo rank only in "Above Average" tiers. Especially Roy. In my opinion- These two amiibo have unseen potential to contend in tournaments.I've started some new stat layouts for Mewtwo- but here is a definite layout for Roy. This stat layout gives him critical hit, a mirror shield, and improved launch. The launch comes in handy for the dancing blade/up b/up smash attacks that could kill. Any thoughts on what i should do with mewtwo?

I don't know if this will work for Mewtwo, seeing as I don't have one, but here are some recommendations:
DEFENSIVE: 120 Defense -Trade-Off Defense -Auto-Heal -Auto-Heal
BALANCED: 40 Attack, 80 Defense -Critical Hit Capability -Explosive Perfect Shield -Improved Escapability
These are some bonus combinations I had on my own amiibo. The defensive one I gave to Duck Hunt, and it helps him last for a very long time. The balanced one I gave to Mr. Game & Watch, and it helped him become one of my top fighters.
These are just suggestions, because I have no idea how Mewtwo amiibo perform.
In other news, I definitely agree that Roy has unseen potential. He's my third best amiibo, barely beating out Mario and losing only to Ganondorf and Bowser.

I'm pleased to see someone else who appreciates Mewtwo's potential.
The thing with Mewtwo is that its attacks hit HARD, its play style is very suited to a punishing game, and has the merits of very strong/kill throws along with an extremely good projectile, and a reflector. Confusion is also a command grab, though characters with quick aerials should not have it used on them like that because they can get a free hit in.
But most notably is how its frame data necessitates precision. F-air is one of the best in the game, it has THE best air dodge in the game, and overall its a high difficulty curve character to use. All of the things that most empower Mewtwo are what amiibo can specialize very well in.

I'm late to the party, but I'm thinking the classical RPS setup should do pretty well; with defensive points and a bit of power on the side.
Overload is ok for this amiibo, if you want him to stay grounded that is.
You could also go boost his "glass cannon" archetype even further if you just went all out on attack power. He'd die super early, but at least he'd hit much harder than before.
(Just some suggestions)
