I would like to improve the teamwork of my ZSS and Captain Falcon Amiibo by adding some new stats to them, but I don't know what stats to give them. I know ZSS needs improved with 93 attack, 43 defense, and -35 speed. Captain Falcon is at 70/100/-50. Any tips on any abilities to give them would also be helpful. They seem like they would do good together if they didn't always get clobbered by the other teams my brother and I have for our Amiibo.

Ability-wise, you can't really go wrong with things like explosive perfect shield, lifesteal, critical hit capability, improved escapability, etc. The way you have your Falcon set up, I'd definitely recommend trying to make him a heavy-hitter by giving him critical hits.
Stat-wise, I think ZSS would do well with a more balanced set, so I'd recommend getting rid of the negative speed.

Well, if you're looking to improve teamwork of all things, it might be best that you give them more speed points. So they can combo into each other's moves better.
They're both combo characters, so it might be better to focus on speed rather than power; at least for Falcon.
Unless your bro's amiibo are built around the "tank-ish" architype. In that case, I would recommend ways to outlast them in the long run, rather than overpower them with sheer force.
Can you name me some teams your brother has, so I know what we're up against?

Our teams for our Amiibo are (him) Falco/Fox, Bowser/Ganon, Mario Bros., Mewtwo/Ryu(?), (both) Charizard(his)/Greninja(mine), Lucas/Ness, Villager/Toon Link, Meta Knight/Robin, (mine) Link/Ganon, Zero-Suit Samus/Captain Falcon, Dark Pit/Ike, and Marth/Shulk.
ZSS and Captain Falcon are doing better than before with the stat advice, but are still clobbered by every other team, except my Link/Ganon strangely enough, who are able to beat my other two teams.

Gotcha.
So as far as Falcon goes, I think you should be good to give him more speed points. Because unless you have the Falcon Strike custom equipped to him, there is just no way Falcon can recover. Personally, I recommend 60/60/0 or 40/70/10 as a setup for Falcon. Whichever works, I guess.
Falcon works well with Smooth Lander in my experience, as well as anything that gives him more fire power (Critical Hits, Trade-off attack, ect,) and any bonus that can give him more options for approaching (Crash Run, Easy Perfect Shield, ect)
Zero Suit Samus is really tricky to be honest, I haven't found a definite setup that's really good for her yet... I can say that yours in particular could use more points for defense. ZSS is really frail when it comes to staying in the ring, and she could use all the help she can get in that regard. I use 50/70/0 at the moment, but that could probably be improved upon.
Bonus-wise, I know for a fact that Explosive Perfect Shield does wonders when she's trained to use it properly. Other than that though, I don't know of many must-haves that she absolutely needs. Maybe Improved Escape, but nothing else comes to mind.

I always recommend Thistle Jump to help with characters with poor recovery. You have no idea how helpful it is.
