Hello,
I have a Jigglypuff amiibo that pales in comparison to the majority of my amiibo. I've tried to make her a bulky defensive fighter like my Duck Hunt, but she still falls short of her goals. Does anyone have any recommendations on helping her? Here is her current setup:
110 Def, 10 Spd -Improved Trade-Off Defense -Auto-Heal Capability -Auto-Heal Capability

Improved Shield Regeneration or Improved Escapability

Improved Shield Regeneration or Improved Escapability Which effect(s) should be swapped for your recommendations?

I would say one of the auto-heals Hold on, let me get my Jigg's setup... Oh...
My Jigglypuff "Rem" has a set up of:
20 Attack 80 Defense 20 Speed
- Critical Hit-Capability - Easy Perfect Shield - Mirror Shield
Nevermind...
I suggested those because you want to keep Jigg's shield healthy and keep from being thrown by Ness but apparently I have a completely different set up from that.
I think instead of Mirror Shield I would say Explosive Perfect Shield - meshes with Easy Perfect Shield better than Mirror.
I would still go for the other recommendations. It's not like what you chose wasn't bad either. Jigg's needs survivability and healing does wonders as well as healing up the trade-off defense.

Yeah, Breadloaf (my Jiggs' name) has almost the same setup as Rushmore (my Duck Hunt), with the only difference being that Breadloaf has an extra 10 Speed to make up for her lackluster ground speed. But while Duck Hunt could hold his own with that setup, Jigglypuff struggles to survive. Right now she's alright, but I may experiment with her sometime in the future.
I might try 120 Attack, 200 Defense, -200 Speed in the future...

It'd be great for some extra defense and power, but it would sure give your Puff an extremely hard time when fighting and recovering; especially since Jigglypuff's range on the ground is literally the worst and her jump height is horrible.
If I had to recommend stats to focus on, you really can't go wrong with any setup as long as you remember to give Jiggs some firepower, because with the rate that Jigglypuff hits, going all out on defense doesn't help in the long run. I think a bit more attack instead of speed will help anyway, because Jigglypuff doesn't move around much to begin with.
As for bonuses, I think anything that'll help her tackle on damage will work fine. Critical Hit works especially well at doing this, but given that Jigglypuff doesn't hit too often, it might be wise to put your efforts into other bonuses like Trade-Off Attack.
I think Auto Heal does justice for Puff since her AI is mostly passive anyway, I would also say that Health Restoring Shield would work pretty well too.

Overloaded was just an idea, thanks for pointing out the flaws in it. I don't have access to Crit Hit at the moment (PowerSaves is too expensive for me, and I hate all the farming I have to do for it), so my go-to is Trade-Off Attack. Another idea is that I could try to work in my Luigi's stat and equipment setup, which is 100 Def and 10 in both Atk and Spd. I'll get rid of the Trade-Off and one Auto-Heal in place for ImpEsc and Explosive Perf Shield. I'll try implementing it in Breadloaf and see how that works for her.

PUFF MASTA RACE
I run 20/80/20 with Easy perfect shield, shield regenerating/explosive perfect shield, and imp escape
Also i wouldnt add health restoring shield because according to cloud it significally reduces shield regenetating.

What if you added Improved Shield Generation to Health Restoring Shield?

Okay, I changed Breadloaf's equipment and tinkered with her stats so that it matched my Luigi's, and she's performing much better than before. She's still loses to most of my amiibo, but at least she takes a stock before she goes down.
