So I see alot of amiibo in the D tier that have been there for a while. Since many have not had enough tournament experience, not enough data has been collected to bump them up. I was wondering who you believe is the most underrated D tier Amiibo is?
My personal opinion, I believe that Duck Hunt is the most underrated. I think I have more work to do, but he is able to beat MewTwo about 50% of the time in 2 stock battles. I think with a bit more work, he could be great.

I agree about Duck Hunt, but mine lacks the offense to win. I've trained him defensive with 120 Defense points.  Not the best way to go with Duck Hunt. For my underrated picks, it'll have to be Zelda, Pikachu, and Falco. Zelda hits pretty hard and has great punishing moves. Pikachu's quick and can hit hard with Thunder Burst, a custom move. Falco, unlike Fox, can actually be trained not to jump and can overwhelm an opponent at the right time. I know this: he two-stocked my Ganon and Bowser once. |

Duck Hunt is a really good D tier. Fox and Falco aren't bad either.

I feel like people sleep on Pikachu, Duck Hunt, and Olimar way too much.

Elish, what build do you use for Sheik. She is by far my worst amiibo and i've been trying to figure out how to make her better.

Elish, what build do you use for Sheik. She is by far my worst amiibo and i've been trying to figure out how to make her better. As of now, I have:
90/90/-60
Smooth Lander Auto Heal Improved Escape
The biggest thing you'll notice with this setup is that her speed is in the negatives by quite a bit. This is because Sheik's frame data is fast enough that speed isn't really an issue. And since you can teach Sheik to use Bouncing Fish for recovering, she's fine in that area too.
Now, you can also switch out Auto Heal for EPS if you want to, it just might not help out in the long run. I trained my Sheik to be more roll-happy, so she's more defensive and can get back that %. And unlike Meta Knight, she is much more slippery and less aggressive, so it works out for her. Well, actually, its more like, she can get away with throwing out attacks more than Meta Knight can lol
Also, Smooth Lander is much needed for Sheik. Well, at least for mine, because she loves to use her aerials. I would replace Smooth Lander with Critical Hits, but there just isn't the same amount of reward other characters get. With the boosted attack power though, I could be wrong here.
Any how, you can try this, tweak it to your liking, and tell me how it works. I think its a good setup, because she's been able to contend with even my best lately.

I would say of the current D Tier, my experience goes with Zelda and Roy.
Granted, Zelda has the standard setup and she jumps CONSTANTLY, but she's great with defense and is a master of the Explosive Perfect Shield kill.
The issue with Zelda though is no matter how much I trained her not to, no matter how much I stick to the ground at risk of dying, she jumps and uses aerials. Every instance of aerial use was a reset - even worse when I get through a five minute match and after dodging or intercepting them to get her to stop, she connects with a perfect lightning kick at the last five seconds to get a kill and I have to reset the match AGAIN.
And Roy? Roy breaks many of my regulars no sweat - he's on par with Mannimarco, although Mannimarco is better now...

I now add WFT to my pick on underrated amiibo. She's actually really good, with mine beating all the amiibo in my possession bar the S-Ranks.

Whenever me and Tmac start our monthly tournaments. He is planning on doing a 2nd random tournament each month. We are thinking like D tier only, or certain characters only, something like that. It is going to be for fun pretty much. We like the competitive side of it, but we really just want everyone who enters to have a good time.
Oh and I think my Pikachu is way underrated... probably Zelda too.

My worst amiibo beat my Tournament Champion Gannondorf in 2 stock matches.... 7 TIMES IN A ROW.... 7 Times.... like I don't even know WTF. I'm going to test her against a few more... but as of now... she is possibly one of my best amiibo... NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY THOSE WORDS! |

Dang though. I've always said that Sheik was underrated with tons of potential to be explored, but now I can say that my theory is reality lol
