Im on the fence between Char and Gren. I may get both and have one serve as a sparring opponet depending on when the AWT takes place.

Just got a Charizard today. Roy's giving me hype, his release is this Friday! I'm counting down the days...so fortunate that the 3 Big R's are coming out on my payday. I recently found a Splatoon 3pack at my local Gstop; snapped that up even though I do not own a WiiU, let alone Splatoon (...yet, Gotta get my tax refund first).

Out of curiosity, how viable are Pika and Mewtwo? I haven't heard much talk about them in ages. (Im mostly trying to figure out what pokemon Charizard should learn to fight in particular)

(Im mostly trying to figure out what pokemon Charizard should learn to fight in particular) Ugh, if Amiibo Training was like jumping through hoops, then Pikachu's hoops would be almost too tiny, and on fire. The Pikachu Amiibo is known for the worst Down Special spam out of every Amiibo so far. It's hard to get him to stop, if at all possible. Mewtwo is a really smart Amiibo, it's AI is one of the best I've seen, but like Ike and Palutena, it suffers from bad character design. In the Amiibo World, Mewtwo's moves are anything but useful, especially its Down Special.

Well Im going to get down to training and just see who fares better.

I wish I had a Lucario though, because Lucario is the best Pokemon Amiibo. Check Cloud's Guides to see why. (Keep in mind, they're both outdated, Charizard's and Lucario's)

I'm still not sure which of the two to enter, I may just train both of them and see who does better. I do have more questions, but at this rate Im going to open my own thread as to keep from derailing this one too much.

Jiggles is waaay too risky in a pool full of 200/120/-200 Chars & Lucs who break shields like Jewish newlyweds break glasses.

I have Lucas, Duck Hunt, Game & Watch. Just enough to have a team mate and team to practice against

Walked into Gamestop for my Pre-ordered FamiROB & Ryu this morning, walked out with them plus Pikachu & Lucario so Gyiyg could train against them before AWT#6. I got a looooooot of training ahead of me.

Today, I went to Toys R Us so I could use that "Buy 2 Amiibo Get 1 Free" deal.
Roy was out of stock everywhere.
So I got Ryu, Greninja and a free Pikachu. Worth it.
I feel bad about Roy, because everyone seems to be talking about him in the forums and I can't even find one. Also, I forgot to buy the Ryu DLC, so no Ryu training for me.
At least I've got new Pokémon to train for the next tournament!

Try to snag one off their website if you cannot/don't feel like driving around looking for one. If all else fails, import from Japan.
