First, I'd like to mention that Charizard's guide is ridiculously outdated.
It doesn't even talk about equipment!
Edit: Greninja's, too. But apparently we're getting a guide update for both, so..!
Question 1
What stats bonus would be the best for Charizard?
Is 30/75/15 good?
For training purpose, I already gave him EPS and Improved Escapability. I'll change that if I can do better.
EDIT: I changed it. Here's how I made my Charizard.
Stats: 19/100/1
Bonus: Explosive Perfect Shield + Improved Escapability + Critical Hit Capability
EDIT2: Changed it again so it's compatible with the tournament rules.
Stats: 19/100/1
Bonus: Mirror Shield + Lifesteal + Critical Hit Capability
Question 2 (Solved)
Once it reached Level 50, I made it fight against all my amiibo. It won against all of them except for Link. That's probably because Link was also trained recently, but here's the question.
How do you train your amiibo so it becomes specifically better than another one?
What I mean is that I want it to be able to beat Link while still being able to easily beat all my other amiibo.
EDIT: The answer is to teach it to play defense. To everyone reading this, don't forget to play defense!
Question 3 (Solved)
Which moves does Charizard use incorrectly, and does Charizard have any True Combo?
EDIT: So far, I think it uses Side B incorrectly, but I need more people to confirm this.
EDIT2: It doesn't seem to have any true combo, or any stupid moves. So it's solved.
Question 4
What are your experiences when it comes to Charizard?
I'm asking this question so I can know what everyone experienced in general when training Charizard.
He has a lot of potential and I want to make sure it uses all of it when I'll enter it in the next tournament.
Question 5 (Solved)
As the guide suggested, I picked the custom move Dragon Rush (Side Special 3). However,
What do you think of the custom move Rising Cyclone (Up Special 2)?
Could it be better than Fly?
Because it is to me. It deals more damage and becomes a viable KO option.
EDIT: From what I experienced, I think Rising Cyclone could be harder to use than Fly. But I don't think this question is entirely solved.
EDIT2: I changed Charizard's Custom set for 1/3/1/1. Fly is easier to use and recovers better.
This question isn't entirely solved, though. It's a big debate and we'll have to discuss further about it.
EDIT3: Alright, you guys should either pick Fly for the damage or Fly High if you want recovery.
Question 6 (Solved)
Yesterday, Cloud made me realize I have to make my amiibo play defense, so I downloaded the Amiibo 15 and got to work. But there's a huge problem I'm facing.
In the Amiibo 15, it is written:
"When the game begins, approach your Amiibo and wait for it to attack. While you're waiting, press the block button a few times."
But that makes no sense: the first thing an amiibo will think of doing when you're blocking is grab.
You can't dodge a grab! At least, not in my book.
How in the world are you supposed to deal with grabs?
I'm already expecting someone saying "you need good reflexes", however I don't think a human being could ever have such good reflexes.
Or am I wrong?
EDIT: I was so naive. It's definitely possible to dodge grabs!
Question 7
Alright, my Charizard now plays defense over offense. But it still needs training.
Which moves should I teach Charizard to use Out of Shield?
Right now, when I dodge its attack/grab, I always respond with a grab to Up Throw. However, I noticed that amiibo don't like to use grabs right after they dodged. It wants to use moves.
Question 8
Now that I have a Pikachu, I'll be able to have better training for my Pokémon amiibo.
What are Pikachu's true combos? And what about Greninja's?
You guys should think of making a list giving every single true combo in the game.
Question 9
Cloud keeps recommending Easy Perfect Shield. Why?
Amiibo are programmed to make perfectly timed moves. Why would they need Easy Perfect Shield when they already perfect shield all the time?
I edited the OP so it contains all the questions I asked so far.
I will surely have more questions to ask, and most of them aren't solved yet.
Questions remained unsolved are in red, while questions that don't have an answer are in blue.
If you haven't already, don't be shy and answer the questions! It could help!
I'll post a comment every time I type in a new question so you guys will be notified.
