So, finishing up the Kirby series trio. King Dedede training result: pretty dang good. Meta Knight training progress: *facedesk*. Now, there is Kirby. I've heard that his AI is particularly horrible so this could be a headache inducing train time. Any advice on Kirby's AI behavior and recommended equip/stats/custom sets are helpful.
Currently Running:
- +70/+40/+10 - Lifesteal / Improved Escapability / Mirror Shield - Ice Breath (2) / Hammer Bash (2) / Upper Cutter (3) / Stone (1)

Only thing I suggest is rid Inhale for Ice Breath. It will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.

Well first off, Kirby friggin' loves to spam certain moves. One, for sure, is Inhale. A close 2nd would be his forward air. He'll spam the crud out of that move if you'll let him, so watch yourself while training him. Inhale can be fixed if you give him his Ice Breath custom, but you might have to work to get rid of the forward air spam. You'll have to work, but it's definitely easier to get him to stop than say, Meta Knight.
(Ok, now I know this might be a bit crazy, but it might be worth it if you give you Kirby the Skating Traction bonus. Kirby's smash attacks are incredibly easy to block, so that can possibly lead to a really huge devastating punish. Not only does Skating Traction push Kirby back a little if his moves get blocked, but he also gains a mobility buff! Then again, I'm just some casual, so scratch this part if you aren't interested.)
Other things to note are that Kirby needs to get in close to deal the real hurt, so you especially want to take some time and care at teaching him how to close the gap between him and his opponent. Especially since Marth and any other character with disjoints really give Kirby a run for his money. (I don't even want to imagine the horror of having to deal with Corrin...)
There's really not much else to Kirby, he's relatively straightforward. Solid tilts, strong smash attacks, excellent grab game, great recovery, but his light weight and trouble getting a KO can really do a number on him...
