See, Grolla Seyfarth, my Lucina amiibo, is the best amiibo I own. Capable of defeating all of mine and my brother's amiibo, up to and possibly including Little Mac. Yet when I fight her in a best 2/3 match, I almost always win. Does this mean she needs more training, or that I have skill, enough to memorize everything she does and act accordingly?

Well youre almost guaranteed to win your Lucina in shield practice. People dont consider that as "Your amiibo needs more training". So i assume it is not option number 1.

Is this 2/3 match a regular smash or slow smash? What about timers? Is it in an omega stage? Is Grolla's playstyle offensive, balanced or defensive? Factors... If we're assuming a regular match with no items in an omega stage, then I'd say it's because humans and amiibo don't fight the same way. You simply can't react as fast as an amiibo, which means you won't play like one since you have to adapt to your disadvantages. Because you're not fighting like an amiibo, Grolla's not optimized against you. She's ready to beat the living NFC Data out of some amiibo that knowingly use their defensive capabilities to perfect shield everything or devastating offense to try to 1-shot her... You're simply playing unlike the amiibo, and it's showing by how you're beating her.

The matches I have with her are normal, no items Omega Stage matches. And as for her playstyle, I would say its Balanced. She goes for some offensive attacks while maintaining good defense and utilization of her counter.

I think it's because she's so used to playing against other amiibo, that she forgot all her skills in trying to beat you.
This is pretty normal actually, mine do this allll the time. Especially characters like Sheik and Roy, their playstyles are vastly different when facing normal players, in comparison to facing other amiibo.
Another part of it could be that Grolla's stats and bonuses are specifically designed to counter other amiibo, which also means that they don't account for human players at all.

I won two tournaments, with Ganon and Bowser. I can beat both, but they are good vs other amiibo. It is actually kind of normal, its a sign that they are adapting to the way other amiibo play rather than trainers.

Maybe it's because you always know what she's going to do?
Like the Patriots and Redcoats in the Revolutionary War, you know more tactics and the "layout of the land" more than your Amiibo does.

It's like he was made to counteract Smash players and only Smash players....

It's like he was made to counteract Smash players and only Smash players....I've never trained with Roy tbh. I know that some amiibo take alot more work or different training methods. Roy may be one of those amiibo. May have to do picky saves tactic. I've had to do that with Sheik and Pikachu.

I'm not all for that tactic, as it ruins the statement of preparing your Amiibo for everything.
