Question 8:
Ok, so Pikachu, um, doesn't really have combos simply put. I think forward throw into dash attack might be a thing at low %'s, but that's about it. I've tried teaching him some combos, but either he doesn't know any, or he just chooses not to commit to anything major... Most of Pikachu's success comes from being slippery anyway, not through combos, so don't worry about it!
Greninja has a couple tricks up his sleeve, and that's about it. Forward through into Water Shuriken, down throw into forward tilt, and then up throw into up air. If anything, teach him down throw to forward tilt at low %'s. and up throw into up air at mid %'s. Tilts can also lead into smash attacks if he can land them, but use them sparingly because they're blocked easy. Though, tbh, I haven' loaded up Greninja for the latest patch yet. He might have some changes, so I'll report back when I've looked into it more.
Best Wishes,
Eleh

Question 1 (re-post):
If you want Charizard to be a ground fighter, just go with the 200/120/-200 setup with bonuses that benefit defense. I'd ask Cloud for equipment details though, I'm still the new guy when it comes to that. I'd also give Charizard his High Fly custom so he can recover.
If you want a more balanced build, try 40/70/10, it worked out for me pretty darn well. Though with that build, I recommend Smooth Lander for aerials (Charizard's are pretty darn good), easy perfect shield to help with defense, and then another bonus for whatever. Personally, I chose Improved aerials to get him in the air more.
The alternative here would be 40/80/10
Question 9:
I'd have to say its good to have this for more inexperienced amiibo, because most of the time, amiibo have trouble blocking the more powerful attacks. And knowing tourneys like these, there will be a lot of smash attacks out of shield. It probably wouldn't hurt to have this if you're not totally confident with your Charizard's ability to shield stuff.
